COST-SHARE INFORMATION/PUBLIC MEETING

A public meeting has been scheduled to discuss the Spring Creek Watershed 319 Project for the following date and time:

April 5, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Hill City Senior Center, 227 Walnut Avenue, Hill City, SD 57745

ANNOUNCEMENT

Spring Creek Watershed Management and Implementation Project Segment I
Cost-Share Signup – Deadline April 11, 2011

Pennington County has Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 319(h) funds available for cost share to implement Best Management Practices (BMPs) to reduce fecal coliform bacteria, sediment, and nutrients in the watershed. Funds are to be allocated for BMPs focusing on improving riparian areas, controlling stormwater runoff, and repair of malfunctioning on-site wastewater treatment (septic) systems.

Anyone with property located within the boundaries of the Spring Creek Watershed, above Sheridan Lake Dam and Spillway, that is interested in an implementation project may apply for cost-share by submitting an application to the Pennington County Planning Department by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011. Application packets can be obtained from the City of Hill City, Black Hills RC&D, and the Pennington County Planning Department offices or online at Spring Creek Watershed 319 Project.
